Courage Collectives

Indivisible has a new campaign that might interest some of you. "Courage Collectives are groups of everyday people with a common interest, experience, or background who work together to organize noncooperation against the Trump regime."

Authoritarians can only exist if certain pillars of society support them. That why authoritarians always take control of business, labor, faith institutions, education, civil service, and the military/police. If we take those pillars away, they lose power and legitimacy.

After the No Kings protest, most communities have already formed local resistance groups that are organizing events. For example, I'm a member of a wonderful group of activists in Montgomery that meets once a month. You can reach out to an existing group and join them, or you can start your own group that focuses on your interests.

To start your own Courage Collective, just pick a pillar of government that matches your expertise, and then start influencing the people and institutions in that realm to resist through noncooperation with our authoritarian government.
