According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, substance use disorders affect 20 to 30 percent of the LGBTQ population, compared to 8.4 percent of the general population.

Find a treatment center for addiction or substance abuse using the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) list of resources: www.samhsa.gov

If you are in-crisis or having thoughts of suicide, the Pride Against Prejudice project has a list of resources to help you. While the project is aimed towards suicide prevention in LGBTQ youth, most of the resources listed are applicable to everyone.
