Birthright Citizenship At SCOTUS

At Friday's private conference, the Supreme Court discussed the case challenging birthright citizenship. All of the lower courts have upheld the 14th Amendment and rejected the Trump administration's re-definition of it. I'm wanting to see SCOTUS deny granting certiorari to hear the case, which would mean the lower court decision would stand. We will hopefully have an answer Monday morning when they release their Order List at 9:30AM ET.

Section 1 of the 14th Amendment says, "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside." That is pretty clear, but Trump is trying to re-interpret the US Constitution in order to exclude immigrants. They are using the phrase "subject to the jurisdiction thereof" to say the baby doesn't have citizenship unless both parents are citizens. They also have a plan to de-naturalize immigrants who have already earned their citizenship, but that's a whole other matter.

Portland First Amendment Class Action Filed

IRS Sharing Data With ICE Is Illegal

Federal District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly just blocked the Internal Revenue Service from illegally sharing data with ICE. She ruled that "the IRS’s adoption of the Address-Sharing Policy and the IRS’s subsequent sharing of taxpayer information with ICE were unlawful under the Administrative Procedure Act. Furthermore, Plaintiffs have shown that the IRS’s disclosure of confidential taxpayer address information to ICE was contrary to law because it violated several provisions of Internal Revenue Code." Trump's Gaza Peace Plan Has Failed

Neither side has complied with the ceasefire agreement, and Hamas only agreed to return the hostages. They are only willing to disarm once a Palestinian state is created. Trump's "plan" was to create an international security force, but they haven't been able to get countries to agree to send their troops to enforce the peace or disarm Hamas. Meanwhile, the genocide and territory grab is still in progress.

Halo Act Would Restrict Free Speech

The GOP has proposed a bill that would give 5 years in prison and fines for anyone who comes within 25 feet of ICE or harasses them. There are already plenty of laws regarding the obstruction of justice that are being used in these cases, but they want to make it easier to arrest those protesting or recording ICE activities. Our nation has already slipped down the slippery slope of fascist government, and this law would take us further down that path.

Charges Dropped Against Two Chicago "Domestic Terrorists"

Federal District Judge Georgia Alexakis has dismissed the charges against Marimar Martinez and Anthony Ruiz after DOJ requested it.

In multiple instance, federal agents have claimed someone "rammed their car" when the evidence shows it was either the agents who caused the accident, or it never happened. In this case, they shot Martinez multiple times and then the agent bragged in text messages that he shot her 5 times and she had 7 holes. They labeled them as "domestic terrorists" and charged them with assault with a deadly weapon for a ramming attack that was the agent's fault.

Once DOJ realized they were going to caught by yet another lie in court with their text messages and body cameras being viewed, they suddenly dropped all of the charges. US Turns It's Back On Ukraine - 23 Point Peace Plan

Officials are meeting in Kyiv on a 23-point "peace plan" for ending the war between Russia and Ukraine. There does need to be an end to the war, but this plan is a disaster just like the Trump Middle East Peace plan! It involves Ukraine giving up some of it's land (the Donbas region) to Russia, as well as puts limits on their troop numbers and weapons so they are left defenseless against another incursion.

Sounds like something written by Putin? It probably was. It was drafted by Steve Witkoff and Russian special envoy Kirill Dmitriev. Neither Ukraine or our European allies were consulted about the plan.

I truly hope that Ukraine is smart enough to reject this plan. Trump is clearly cheering for his pal Putin, and has been limiting the aid that we send to Ukraine. It looks like peace in Ukraine and future peace in Europe will be up to NATO countries.

Our troops are likely receiving illegal orders in Latin America with all of the extrajudicial murders being carried out in Venezuela, and they need to know they can still be held accountable for their actions.

FBI Employee Sues After Being Fired For Displaying Pride Flag

Judge Orders Release of 442 Chicago Detainees

Federal District Judge Jeffrey Cummings has order the release of low-risk detainees that were arrested without a warrant. They must be released on a $1,500 bond by Friday. The DHS provided a list, and out of 610 detainees, 52 were listed as a “high public safety risk,” 87 were medium risk, and 473 were low risk.

Epstein Helped Kavanaugh Get On SCOTUS Bench

Remember the courageous congressional testimony of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford who testified that Brett Kavanaugh assaulted her at a high school party? It turns out Jeffrey Epstein and Steve Bannon were exchanging emails about how to discredit her testimony. The released documents also show that Bannon stayed in direct contact with Trump long after Bannon was fired, with Trump initiating the phone calls.

During Kavanaugh's confirmation hearing, the FBI allegedly set up a tip line where people could report Kavanaugh's misconduct. It turns out that tip line was intercepted by the White House, so no tips ever got investigated. Kavanaugh is an illegitimate Supreme Court justice that needs to be impeached the next time Democrats get control!

US Plans To Split Gaza And Give Palestinians The Rubble

I've always thought that Israel's "yellow line" in Gaza was bullshit, because it allows them to claim half of the land. Everyone wants peace in the Middle East, but it's no surprise that Trump's plan is shit. They haven't even completed phase one of his plan because Hamas is far from disarming. With the USNC vote yesterday to approve the plan, they're already looking ahead to the next phase.

When it comes to rebuilding Gaza, the US plan is to make the "yellow line" a permanent border. They would pledge to rebuilding the territory that is under Israeli occupation, and just leave the land with all of the piles of corpses and rubble to the Palestinians. Israel should not be in any way be rewarded for carrying out a genocide, and the US is 100% complicit. There's already an ICC arrest warrant out for Crime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and now we need arrest warrants for all of the Americans who took part. We have to hold them all accountable!

Judge Dismisses Challenge Against NY Law Prohibiting Immigrant Arrests At Courthouses

Federal District Judge Mae D’Agostino has dismissed the challenge to New York's 2020 Protect Our Courts Act, after the Trump administration claimed it was preempted by federal law, and that it was an unconstitutional obstacle to immigration enforcement. The law protected immigrants against warrantless civil arrests when attending a court proceeding in which they or a family member is a party or witness. They were also protected on their way to/from the courthouse. The ruling also upholds two previous Cuomo Executive Orders which restrict state employees’ ability to disclose information to ICE, and prohibits immigration arrests in state facilities without a warrant. The DOJ claimed that all of those restrictions violated the 10th Amendment, and I'm sure they will appeal to the circuit court of appeals and then to SCOTUS.

National Guard Deployment To Memphis Blocked by Tennessee Judge

Davidson County Chancellor Patricia Head Moskal wrote that Tennessee Governor Bill Lee's authority to deploy the National Guard is "not unfettered" and ruled their current deployment to Memphis to act as law enforcement violates the state's constitution. She wrote, "The governor may only call the militia into service in cases of rebellion or invasion and only with the General Assembly's declaration that the public safety requires it." Some of the outrageous costs of these deployments were also revealed, as the state is claiming it will cost at least $8M just to stop their deployment. The Tennessee Attorney General had argued that the deployment of the guard was beyond judicial review, and the court obviously disagreed with that assertion.

Off-Duty ICE Goon Holds 17-Year-Old US Citizen At Gunpoint

Video shows off-duty ICE goon Gerardo Rodriguez holding a 17-year-old Mexican-American US citizen at gunpoint after alleging that he was speeding through the neighborhood in Temecula, CA. Rodriguez pulls a gun from his waistband and forces the teen out of the car. He shows his ICE badge, but ICE has no police authority.

Thankfully, the community intervened and the parents were able to quickly come to the location with the teen's passport. The parents called 911, and so the police arrested Rodriguez and searched his home. He is charged with assault with a deadly weapon, child endangerment, and assault by a public officer. The family has retained an attorney.

This is just another example of the kinds of thugs that DHS is employing, and proof of why every interaction with ICE needs to be recorded and witnessed by as many bystanders as possible.

Video Shows Charlotte Woman Handcuffed

As the masked goons with guns man-handle her, she tells them, "I'm a US citizen!" but they proceed to detain her and confiscate her cellphone. They claim they had probable cause because she "touched" their vehicle, but the video doesn't support that claim. We truly have to record EVERYTHING these thugs do!
