FBI And DHS Intimidating Protesters (Again)

I've got a copy of an indictment that we all need to talk about! "Cop City" is a $118 million 85-acre police training facility built in Atlanta. They bulldozed a forest to create it in the middle of a Black community. Cop City wasn't wanted and it wasn't needed, so there were large groups of protesters who did everything they could to stop it because the government didn't care about their petitions or concerns. Police shot dead a peaceful protester while in his tent, and in 2023 Georgia filed RICO charges against 61 activists and even said the bail funds were part of a racketeering operation. Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr called the protestors "domestic terrorists and violent criminals." All of those ridiculous RICO charges eventually got dismissed.

Samuel Tunick is an Atlanta musician and a Cop City activist. He recently visited a foreign country, and before he came back to the USA he wiped clean his Pixel cell phone. When he got to the airport in January to re-enter the US, CBP agents detained him and tried to force him to give them full access to his phone. They couldn't find what they were looking for, so he was released.

On December 2nd, Tunick was pulled over in Atlanta where he was asked to step out of his car because of an issue with his taillight. He was at that point arrested by DHS and FBI. After his first night in jail, he learned during his court appearance that they had obtained an indictment from a federal grand jury. He was charged with one count of destruction of evidence because he had wiped his phone.

This is a baseless case that must not stand! The government is still clearly trying to intimidate protesters through these ridiculous bogus prosecutions. Many people carry "burner" phones when they cross international borders because of the repressive laws in other countries. It seems now that the USA has become one of those repressive countries.

The Indictment reads: "On or about January 24, 2025, in the Northern District of Georgia, the defendant, SAMUEL TUNICK, before and during the search for and seizure of property by Customs and Border Patrol Tactical Terrorism Response Team Supervisory Officer L.C., a person authorized to make such search and seizure, did knowingly destroy, damage, waste, dispose of, and otherwise take any action to delete the digital contents of a Google Pixel cellular phone, for the purpose of preventing and impairing the Government's lawful authority to take said property into its custody and control, in violation of Title 18, Untied States Code, Section 2232(a)."

Sam is out of jail on bond, but now he is subject to random visits from parole officers and drug tests. ICE's Biggest Fear Is Transparency

They aren't rounding up "the worst of the worst" they are going after the easiest, most vulnerable targets, and they're bypassing the law to do it. Trump's goal was to deport 5,000 per day and thank god they are nowhere near reaching that goal. The arrest records show that the overwhelming majority of those being detained are not criminals. Those claimed to have "criminal records" mostly have minor things like traffic violations. Even if you paint those people as "criminals" they are far from being gang leaders or "the worst of the worst."

What they have succeeded in doing is terrorizing our communities by carrying out raids with violent heavily-armed masked Gestapo thugs with no police training. When SCOTUS allowed racial profiling through "Kavanaugh Stops" that's exactly the method they used. They're trying to detain as many people as possible in order to reach their mission quotas, the laws be damned. They don't want the public to know what the real arrest numbers and criminal statistics are because it points to their abject mission failure despite all of their bluster and propaganda.

Our greatest weapon against these domestic terrorists is to use our whistles and record everything that they do. We've been winning all of these legal cases mostly because of the videos that prove how they lie in court. We have to organize rapid-response groups in every community as they spread their efforts across the nation.

In reporting out of Louisiana, it shows how the local and state police are helping them monitor social media through the local DHS Fusion Center. When DHS, the feds, and police got hacked during BlueLeaks we learned exactly how these fusion centers really work. Very few press outlets would cover the BlueLeaks revelations because of their relationship with police, but in places where the truly independent media covered it the fusion center got quickly shut down. The BlueLeaks data trove is still published on DDOSecrets.com, and although it's a few years old, it is still of great value in understanding their training, procedures, and the propaganda that is disseminated.

Alabama Needs DOJ To Follow-Up On Prison System

In April 2019, DOJ issued the results of their investigation into the conditions inside Alabama prisons. Sadly, nothing has been done. Governor Kay Ivey says "The Alabama Solution" is to build more mega-prisons, so she took funds from education and COVID relief to build new billion dollar prisons. That fixes nothing!

Election time is coming up, and we have a chance for new leaders to take the helm. As citizens, we have to get organized and demand a change. But in the interim, we need the DOJ to actually follow through on their investigation. During the Trump administration, that may not be realistic, so it may be up to us to force a change in the system. ✊

Their investigation reported that our entire prison system is broken. They wrote:

“There is reasonable cause to believe that the Alabama Department of Corrections(“ADOC”) has violated and is continuing to violate the Eighth Amendment rights of prisoners housed in men’s prisons by failing to protect them from prisoner-on-prisoner violence, prisoner-on-prisoner sexual abuse, and by failing to provide safe conditions, and that such violations are pursuant to a pattern or practice of resistance to the full enjoyment of rights secured by the Eighth Amendment. The violations are severe, systemic, and exacerbated by serious deficiencies in staffing and supervision; overcrowding; ineffective housing and classification protocols; inadequate incident reporting; inability to control the flow of contraband into and within the prisons, including illegal drugs and weapons; ineffective prison management and training; insufficient maintenance and cleaning of facilities; the use of segregation and solitary confinement to both punish and protect victims of violence and/or sexual abuse; and a high level of violence that is too common, cruel, of an unusual nature, and pervasive.”

Broadview ICE Lawsuit Is Granted Class Action Status

Federal District Judge Robert W. Gettleman has just certified the lawsuit against the Chicago ICE facility as a class action lawsuit. The class shall be: "All immigration detainees who are detained and those who will be detained in the future at the Broadview ICE facility at 1930 Beach Street, Broadview, Illinois."

There are "deplorable" conditions at the detention center:
1. Lack of adequate food;
2. Lack of sufficient clean water;
3. Lack of personal hygiene products;
4. Extremely overcrowded holding cells;
5. No access to sufficient bedding or space to sleep;
6. Dirty holding cells that are rarely or never cleaned;
7. Insufficient and dirty toilet facilities;
8. Lack of access to medication, including those that detainees arrived with on their person or that were provided by family members;
9. No access to showers or other bathing facilities; and
10. Lack of access to adequate clothing.

Through their abuse and deprivation of rights, DHS is forcing detainees to sign self-deportation papers without legal counsel and without it being in their language, so they have no clue what they are signing.

The judge made a personal visit to the facility last week, and allowed attorneys to hand out their cards to the detainees that are understandably fearful of talking. I'm sure we will hear of more detention center horror stories in the coming days.

Trump's DoJ Using "Antifa" Label for Enhanced Terrorism Charges

Just as the DoJ abuses the Espionage Act to prosecute whistleblowers, they are now labeling people as "antifa operatives" in order to file enhanced terrorism charges against them.

"Antifa" is just short for anti-fascist, and I'd like to think the majority of people in the world are anti-fascists. We already fought a world war over fascism, and the good guys won. Antifa in the US is not an organization and has no leaders. The only people in any danger from antifa are fascists, which is why Trump and some other authoritarian world leaders are paranoid about them. Trump also designated several foreign groups as "antifa networks" because they speak out against him.

They are claiming to have caught a "North Texas Antifa Cell" after the July 4th attack on the ICE detention facility in Alvarado, TX. Some of the people arrested have been charged with "providing material support to terrorists" and other federal charges that will greatly increase the penalty if convicted.

A federal grand jury has indicted all of these people, but we don't know what the prosecutor told them and what choices of charges they were given. This is happening in deep red Texas, so we'll have to watch how the court case plays out. Even if those indicted were criminals, saying they were part of an "antifa cell" is ridiculous.

Trump Makes An Example Out Of Representative LaMonica McIver

There are federal charges against Rep. McIver for trying to do her job of congressional oversight of Delaney Hall Federal Immigration Facility on May 9th in Newark, NJ. She is a sitting Congresswoman representing New Jersey’s 10th Congressional District, and DHS claims she "did forcibly assault, resist, oppose, impede, intimidate, and interfere with a" federal agent. These charges are just an intimidation tactic to dissuade other members of Congress from conducting their oversight duties of ICE detention centers.

Rep. McIver and two other members of Congress tried to inspect the Delaney Hall facility. There was a protest in the front of the facility, so they allegedly followed a vehicle into a secure area, but then the mayor showed up and was denied access. The complaint alleges "the Mayor returned with members of his security detail and was able to enter inside the gate because the guard was under the impression that the Mayor was part of the Congressional delegation." When they tried to arrest the mayor, Rep. McIver then allegedly made "multiple attempts to forcibly assault, resist, oppose, impede, intimidate, and interfere with the agents attempting to take the Mayor into custody." They say the members of Congress tried to act as human shields to prevent the mayor from being arrested, and they allege Rep. McIver assaulted them. They provided still shot photos from surveillance cameras and BWC (Body Worn Cameras), but I haven't seen any video of the incident which probably tells a more accurate story. The photos are part of the original Complaint.

Rep. McIver tried to have the case dismissed and even claimed legislative immunity, but Federal District Judge Jamel K. Semper has denied her motion to dismiss and says the case must move forward.

Broadview ICE Class Action Lawsuit Update

Yesterday, Magistrate Judge Laura McNally along with the attorneys for the plaintiffs took a tour of the ICE facility outside of Chicago. Seventeen minutes before the scheduled visit, the govt asked to accompany them on the tour. That request was denied as moot because of such little notice given to the court. I'm waiting for the results of that inspection to be filed on the court docket.

ICE is claiming that the facility surveillance video between October 19, 2025 and October 31, 2025 that the plaintiffs requested has been "irretrievably destroyed" and so they can't produce that evidence in accordance with discovery. That sounds like a cover-up effort to hide the evidence!

The lawsuit is based on violations of the First Amendment, Fifth Amendment, Due Process, ICE policies, and the Administrative Procedure Act (APA). They are complaining about the inhumane living conditions, lack of access to legal counsel, denial to medical care, lack of food and water, and other basic human rights violations.

ICE intentionally makes things difficult for them to pressure them into signing self-deportation forms that they don't understand. That is despite a key rule that says, "The use of threats, coercion, or physical abuse by the designated immigration officer to induce a suspect to waive his or her rights or to make a statement is prohibited."

The lawsuit says that when detainees make requests for basic essentials, ICE officers respond with "threats, abuse, or contempt." They say they were "being belittled or ignored by officers when they asked for food and water." "When people asked for necessities, officers would insult detainees or make light of their suffering." One detainee says, "She saw a man who was very ill and appeared to be having a heart attack. The officers at Broadview laughed at him and made light of his medical emergency."

ICE Ignored Removal TRO

I previously wrote about Alabama's Chanthila "Shawn" Souvannarath who had been detained and held in Louisiana's horrific Angola prison. He has been in the US and a lawful permanent resident since an infant, and his father had citizenship, so Federal District Judge Shelly Dick issued a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) to prevent his removal until he was able to litigate his claim of citizenship. The judge wrote, "Though the Court does not tend to issue orders before all parties have had an opportunity to be heard, Petitioner’s substantial claim of U.S. citizenship and the irreparable harm that would be caused by immediate deportation warrant temporary intervention in this case." Despite the TRO, ICE has deported him to Laos and claims they weren't served with the order until after he had been deported.

Folks, the government gets electronic court docket notices just like I do, so there is no excuse for not knowing about the court orders. DHS/ICE is just clearly ignoring the US Constitution, as well as the orders by multiple federal judges. This does not bode well for the future our nation, as a lawless heavily-armed masked police force is terrorizing our communities. Get organized and protect each other!

FBI Wants ICE Agents to Drop Masks and Identify Themselves

An October 17th FBI Bulletin was obtained by Property of the People that revealed five instances where criminals impersonated ICE agents in order to commit crimes. The bulletin states that all law enforcement officers should “adequality identify themselves during operations and cooperate with individuals who request further verification."

“Due to the recent increase in ICE enforcement actions across the country, criminal actors are using ICE’s enhanced public profile and media coverage to their advantage to target vulnerable communities and commit criminal activity. This not only effects the victims and communities but also has broader negative consequences on law enforcement agencies.”
“These criminal impersonations make it difficult for the community to distinguish between legitimate officers conducting lawful law enforcement action and imposters engaging in criminal activity, which damages trust between the local community and law enforcement officers.”

I don't see the FBI bulletin posted on their website yet, but Property of the People has lots of other good documents of interest that they've obtained through FOIA.

NDAA Section 1122 Program Enables Police Militarization

Section 1122 of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 1994 established the authority for state and local governments to buy law enforcement equipment through federal channels, as long as the equipment is used for counter-drug activities. The Duncan Hunter National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2009 amended 10 U.S.C. 381 to expand the procurement authority under Section 1122 to include equipment for homeland security and emergency response activities. Biden had placed restrictions on the program, but Trump has since removed them and police are being militarized at an alarming rate with military equipment that they're not trained to use properly.

Another problem with the 1122 program is lack of transparency. I've written in years past about the woefully incomplete and inadequate public disclosures about what military equipment was sold and where it went. If you've ever wondered how the local and state police are obtaining tanks, body armor, weapons, and heavy equipment - then Section 1122 is to blame!

Chicago - DHS Appeals to 7th Circuit

DHS had time to make propaganda videos from bodycams and drone footage, but they've turned over no video evidence to the plaintiffs. After a Motion to Compel was filed to force DHS to turn over their video evidence as part of their rolling discovery, DHS appealed to the 7th Circuit who just granted a stay regarding the daily check-in's by Gregory Bovino. They've requested a Writ of Mandamus and an administrative stay. The 7th Circuit responded: "IT IS ORDERED that the government’s request for an administrative stay is GRANTED. Pending a decision on the petition for a writ of mandamus, the district court’s October 28, 2025 order is temporarily STAYED only to the extent it required Gregory Bovino to appear in court, in person, each weekday at 5:45 PM."

Alabama Man Deported By ICE Despite Court Order

Many have been following the case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, but this abuse is happening to hundreds, if not thousands, of immigrants.

A 44 year old Alabama father Chanthila "Shawn" Souvannarath had been a lawful permanent resident since his first birthday. During his annual check-in with immigration, they arrested him in front of his two children, and then he was locked up in an immigration detention facility at Louisiana's notorious maximum-security Angola prison. He was then finally deported to Laos despite a restraining order issued by US District Judge Shelly Dick.

Federal agents are completely ignoring the Constitutional rights of both immigrants and citizens, as well as ignoring court orders because they've been told by fascist Stephen Miller that they have complete and absolute immunity (which is not true).

Agents must wear visible identification, must wear body cameras that are recording, border chief Gregory Bovino must check in daily with the judge, and he is still scheduled to give a 5 hour deposition. All of their reports to the court will be under seal. Here's the complete order:

ICE Court Cases to Watch

Another notice of TRO violations has been filed in federal court. At 10AM tomorrow (Tuesday) there is a hearing where border patrol chief Gregory Bovino must appear in front of Judge Sara Ellis. They have violated her temporary restraining order in multiple ways and on multiple occasions that have now been documented with the court. Not only are they violating with their use of force and deployment of chemical agents, they are also not wearing clearly visible identification. In this notice filed, we can see the officers deploying tear gas but their faces are covered and there is no way to identify them. They are also supposed to be wearing body cameras. During an interview with the media, Bovino questioned the TRO and said he takes his orders from the executive branch, including President Donald Trump and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem. Federal judges really don't like it when you question their authority and flout their orders. Let's hope Judge Ellis throws the book at all of them!

By 5PM, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals is also supposed to release their decision on the deployment of national guard troops to Portland, Oregon. The feds have lied to the court about the numbers of troops being deployed, so that may irritate the court. "Plaintiffs write to alert the Court of a material factual error by defendants on which the panel relied to grant a stay pending appeal. Given that reliance, and the gravity of the interests at stake, plaintiffs ask that the panel immediately withdraw its order or, in the alternative, that the en banc court immediately vacate it."

More ICE Antics in Chicago and Portland

Cellphone video shows federal agents have violated the federal TRO at least four times in Chicago by deploying tear gas against protestors. A status hearing is set for 10/28/2025 at 10:00 AM as Judge Sara Ellis has ordered border patrol chief Gregory Bovino to personally appear before her after he was caught personally throwing a tear gas canister.

In Portland, Oregon, federal agents have painted a blue line to show what is federal property and what is public property. Video shows on agent pulling a protestor across the line, and then other agents move in to arrest them. We have to record everything these masked goons do, so carry a whistle and a cellphone to record EVERYTHING! Here's the video from Portland:

Border Patrol Chief Gregory Bovino Violates Restraining Order

Homeland Security Won't Stop Lying About Who Immigration Enforcers Are Arresting

In case after case, Homeland Security's Public Affairs Office releases incorrect information about arrests carried out by federal immigration officers. The story that DHS gave about the arrest of WGN-TV producer Debbie Brockman was proven to be a lie by bystander videos. This is not the only lie that ICE is telling!

They've lied about crime statistics, they've lied about their tactics, they've illegally accessed Flock camera data, they're wearing masks to hide their identities, they've lied about being assaulted, they've lied about peaceful protestors, and they've lied about who they are arresting. When our corrupt Supreme Court allowed them to use racial profiling, Beer Boy Kavanaugh said any US citizens swept up in the enforcement actions wouldn't have anything to worry about. ICE boosted spending on "small arms, ordnance, and ordnance accessories manufacturing" by 700% over the last year. New spending in the small arms category totaled $71,515,762. Most of that money went toward guns and armor, but ICE also bought chemical weapons and "guided missile warheads and explosive components." Trump's "Big Beautiful Bill" gave $170 billion for immigration enforcement and border measures, including $75 billion in additional funding for ICE. If immigration enforcement was a national military, it would be the 13th most heavily funded in the world. We have no choice but to #AbolishICE as soon as possible!

IMSI Catchers like HailStorm and Harris' Stingray violate the 4th Amendment, so police want them to be a secret. They work by simulating a cell phone tower which then collects data on every cell phone within its range. Even if the police get a warrant for a particular target, these devices search every innocent person in the area. I've seen them deployed in surveillance vans, as well as DHS airplanes that circle above crime scenes and protests to collect data. The best defense is to not carry a cell phone, carry a burner phone, or put your phone in airplane mode when attending public events where you don't want to be tracked.
