Iran Ground War Operations Planned with 82nd Airborne Special Forces Deployed

While Trump is touting what seems to be imaginary negotiation breakthroughs with Iran, the war is still escalating. While Trump was running his lying mouth, Iran fired a dozen missiles towards Israel and carried out drone attack against targets in the Middle East. Israel is still striking Iran heavily, as well as carrying out a ground war in Lebanon. Netanyahu hasn't said anything about the war ending soon.

Meanwhile, the USA is staging troops and equipment for a short ground war which appears to be their plan to take over the island of Kharg which is Iran's oil export hub. The Pentagon has just issued orders to deploy for 3,000 members of the Army's 82nd Airborne Division. Those are elite special forces and paratroopers that would be key to taking over the small island.

In addition to deploying the 82nd Airborne Immediate Readiness Force (IRF), Trump has sent 2,500 Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) along with the USS Tripoli and other ships. They were previously stationed at their base in Okinawa, Japan. They will join the thousands of Marines and sailors that are being sent with the USS Boxer and war ships which would be an amphibious assault force. The Pentagon is keeping quiet, but I would expect there to be around 8,000 troops arriving specifically to carry out the seizure of the island.

It's important to note that these forces at this point aren't large enough to start a prolonged ground war with Iran, but they'd be enough for a short-term invasion to seize Kharg.

Some other signs that a ground invasion is imminent are the deployments and use of C-17 Globemaster III's to the area, along with a buildup of war planes at the Ovda Airbase and Nevatim Airbase in Israel. They are also carrying out a build-up of Army airborne units in Jordan. Many of the C-17 flights have been spotted at the Talladega Municipal Airport in Alabama which is near the Army weapons depot in Anniston where they store a large number of ground combat vehicles. A C-17 has been spotted at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar outside of San Diego, California which is the base of the 1st Marine Logistics Group that supports the US Marine Expeditionary Force.

A more informal measure of determining if a ground operation is imminent is by looking at what the servicemembers say on their social media profiles (they are saying bye to friends and loved ones) and by what they are eating. The Pentagon recently spent $22 million on lobsters and ribeye steak, and the servicemembers are now posting photos of their "Surf and Turf" meal. When I was in the military we only got served that meal right before bad shit happens!

Trump continues to say that negotiations to end the war are going well, but the actions on the ground say otherwise. My heart goes out to all of our servicemembers, their families, friends, and loved ones. It's a damn shame that they are being used in another useless never-ending illegal war of choice in Iran!

War On Iran Expands Into World War 3

While the USA and Israel have been striking thousands of sites in Iran, Iran has been striking targets throughout the Middle East which has caused the war to expand to other countries and now even Europe is involved. Iran's missiles have a range of less than 2,000 miles so they can't strike the USA or Europe directly. So, Iran has carried out drone and missile strikes against its neighbors and many of them have been successful.

After Iran struck their base in Cyprus, the United Kingdom is sending their air defense destroyer HMS Dragon there along with helicopters with counter-drone capabilities. Their Ministry of Defense says their Royal Air Force F-35 jets have already shot down drones over Jordan, Iraq, and Qatar.

France has defense agreements with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, and Qatar. They are sending their only aircraft carrier the Charles de Gaulle to the eastern Mediterranean along with sending a frigate equipped with air-defense systems to Cyprus.

Spain (along with the UK) wouldn't let the USA use its bases to attack Iran, so Trump is verbally attacking those two countries (both of which are members of NATO). Trump just threatened to cut off all trade with Spain in retaliation.

China is angry because Iran has closed the Strait of Hormuz where 30% of their oil supply travels through, so we're about to have a naval battle in the Persian Gulf. Trump has just promised the world that the US Navy will escort the oil tankers through the Strait and says he has ordered a federal agency to provide "political risk insurance and guarantees for ALL Maritime Trade" in the Gulf. That is going to be expensive!

Pakistan and Afghanistan have started their own war with each other, so that's another volatile hotspot in the Middle East that nobody is paying attention to because of the war against Iran.

Israel isn't passing up this opportunity to continue their genocide in Gaza, but they've also sent troops and started attacking Hezbollah targets in Lebanon.

Trump and Israel's Crime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have started this war with Iran with no plan on how to end it. By assassinating Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, they have infuriated the Shiite population around the world. Shia is the second largest branch of Muslims, so there could be revenge strikes carried out all over the world.

There is no way to win this war by airstrikes alone, and history teaches us that there's a very good chance someone worse that the previous Ayatollah takes over Iran as Supreme Leader. The Iranian people can't hold a revolution because of Iran's army (the Artesh) and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The entire purpose of the formation of the IRGC in 1979 was to ensure regime survival by preventing internal coups, and guarding their theocracy against foreign interference. Unless the Artesh and IRGC suddenly switch to the side of the protesters, then another revolution in Iran is doomed.

Trump and Netanyahu have opened a Pandora's Box across the world, and Russia and China are paying close attention. By the USA and Israel carrying out a supposedly "pre-emptive strike" against Iran and trying to force a regime change in Iran and Venezuela, we have lost the moral high ground. This gives Putin an excuse to strike Europe and gives Xi a reason for China to take Taiwan. They were planning for an invasion in 2027, but I'm sure the war in Iran has sped up their schedule.

The USA is going to run short on missiles, drones, and ammunition, so now is the perfect time for the other radical nations around the world to act a fool. Trump has started World War 3 and so far I haven't heard any plans on how to end it.

The Truth About The El Paso Airspace Fiasco

In January, Pentagon Pete Hegseth authorized the military to allow directed high-energy anti-drone systems to be transferred and used by the untrained goons at CBP to protect the border. It didn't take very long for their lack of communications and training to result in a disaster! And to make the situation worse, everyone involved has been telling the public outrageous lies about what actually happened in order to hide their total incompetence.

Let's start at the beginning: The US Northern Command (NORTHCOM) is responsible for homeland defense, security cooperation, and civil support within its area of responsibility (AOR), which includes the continental United States, Alaska, Canada, Mexico, and surrounding waters. If anyone should be responsible for homeland defense against drones coming across our borders it should be NORTHCOM who is trained and fully-equipped to handle that mission.

It's unclear who made the initial request, but as we've seen there has been tons of military equipment transferred over to CBP and ICE who are not trained on how to operate this deadly equipment.

With Border Patrol agents getting their hands on directed energy weapons, they were eager to use them. But because of their lack of training, they misidentified a party balloon as a drone belonging to a Mexican cartel and they opened fire on it. They obliterated the harmless balloon, but they put all of the other aircraft in the area in danger. They could have just as easily misidentified a passenger plane and shot it down, so thankfully it was just a balloon!

There was supposed to be a meeting held between the FAA and the Pentagon about what I guess was going to be training for CBP where the weapon was supposed to be aimed at drones near Fort Bliss, but the weapon ended up being used before that meeting took place to coordinate their actions. NORTHCOM was left completely out of the loop, so every General and Admiral at NORTHCOM is extremely pissed off. The furious base commander of Fort Bliss even called the Pentagon and NORTHCOM about the incident.

The cover-up: the Trump administration officials told the media lies that there was a US airspace incursion by drones operated by Mexican cartel members, and that the Defense Department “took action to disable the drones.” The official added that the FAA and Pentagon determined there “is no threat to commercial travel.” All of that story was nothing but lies! The weapon wasn't fired by US troops or the Defense Department - it was being operated by DHS's CBP.

Because of the confusion and lack of communication between federal agencies, the Pentagon told the FAA that they could not guarantee the safety of commercial air traffic operating in the area, and so the FAA closed the airspace over El Paso, Texas. This part of the story was true, because with such a powerful weapon in the untrained hands of CBP operators, nobody could guarantee the safety of anybody! 🤬

We obviously need to #AbolishICE and return CBP back to the borders, but we also need to de-militarize them. We must start dismantling DHS and returning back to the agencies we had pre-9/11.

As far as the military, Pentagon Pete has purged our troops of their leadership and kicked anyone out of the military who isn't a Trump sycophant. There's no easy fix to this, and it will take several generations to repair the damage that was done. We can start by eliminating the ridiculous defense budget that Congress has been giving them each year without question. This year they received almost $1T and for next year Trump is requesting $1.5T which is insane. We can drastically cut that budget down to a fraction of what it is without compromising the strength of our military since the majority of those funds goes to the military industrial complex and not to our troops. Billions of dollars gets dumped into the pockets of defense contractors and put towards secret projects with zero accountability. We must end all of these non-winnable forever wars. It will take Congress actually doing their jobs with the budget appropriations process and by requiring the authorization of military use of force for foreign actions.

For that to ever happen, we need new leadership in Congress because the current members receive too much money from the military industrial complex lobbyists and defense contractors. We have to vote them out of office and have new leaders run for every office.

Trump Threatens Insurrection Act (Again)

After residents of Minnesota and around the nation have began standing up without fear against his heavily-armed and masked Gestapo ICE goons, Trump is again threatening to invoke The Insurrection Act and send in military troops to fight the protesters. This isn't the first time he's made that threat, but as election day draws nearer the odds of him declaring martial law and seizing control of the voting machines goes up. That's how dictators work. He's already expressed his regrets at not seizing the voting machines during his last big electoral loss. In a recent interview with Reuters, Trump said that things were going so well that we didn't even need to have another election. That isn't the first time he has made a similar claim!

Normally, I'd dismiss this as another fantasy of an extremely unwell (both physically and mentally) wannabe authoritarian, but since there are no longer any checks and balances on his power, we need to take all of his threats seriously. Even though Minnesota has already said they would challenge his invocation of the Insurrection Act in court, the corrupt Supreme Court has already ruled that it is up to POTUS to decide if the required conditions have been met for declaring an insurrection. Both SCOTUS and Congress has completely abdicated their responsibility to stop his madness, so we need to plan our actions accordingly.

It's bad enough that it's already DHS/ICE vs. all sane and decent people, but using the military to enforce civilian law would turn the people against the military. We need to stop that from happening if at all possible! But the recent attacks on our First Amendment rights are clear at every level, so we must act now.

Anyone who voices dissent has already been labeled a "domestic terrorist" by DHS, and they're using their bogus designation of "Antifa" (anti-fascists) as a terrorist organization to enhance sentences for anyone they prosecute. We've seen this already happen in Texas, and it will only get worse.

They've already captured and control our mass media. They've settled lawsuits with several networks who criticized Trump. They've launched a huge defamation lawsuit against foreign media such as the BBC. The placement of Bari Weiss as Editor-in-Chief at CBS has seen their network become heavily MAGA-coded with new news anchors and the blocking of the 60 Minutes report on DHS sending Venezuelans to the notorious CECOT in El Salvador. Even the military media has lost it's First Amendment as new employee applicants at Stars & Stripes are first being asked if they support Trump's agenda.

Whistleblowers are being wrongfully charged under broken and antiquated Espionage Act. They've sent a subpoena to a journalist who covered the chain of command involved in the illegal invasion of Venezuela, the extra-judicial murders of alleged drug boat passengers, and the kidnapping of Venezuela's dictator Maduro. Yesterday, they raided the home of a reporter at The Washington Post alleging the possession of classified materials.

So, what do we do? Organize support networks on your local level. We need to identify sources of food, healthcare, and housing within each community. I'm part of Blackout The System who is already connecting these organization in preparation for a national General Strike. However, because of the shitty economy this work desperately needs to be done regardless if a General Strike ever happens. Join Blackout The System because we need leaders in every state and community to help identify and promote these local resources and break our dependence on the big corporations who are funding the MAGA machine.

Sign up for Indivisible and join your local resistance group! I'm a member of the Alabama Resisters in Montgomery and they are a wonderful group of people who are passionate about equality and justice. Go to the local protests and make your voice heard.

As always: call, write letters, send emails, and visit your elected officials. Even the ones who are on our side need to know we are supporting them. Those who aren't on our side need to be convinced by an overwhelming tidal wave of opposition. They are supposed to represent and work for us! ✊
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2026/01/15/minneapolis-ice-shooting-protests-live-updates/88190465007/

Please read what Renee Nicole Good's wife Becca Good wrote after her murder by a masked ICE agent: 💔

"First, I want to extend my gratitude to all the people who have reached out from across the country and around the world to support our family.

This kindness of strangers is the most fitting tribute because if you ever encountered my wife, Renee Nicole Macklin Good, you know that above all else, she was kind. In fact, kindness radiated out of her.

Renee sparkled. She literally sparkled. I mean, she didn’t wear glitter but I swear she had sparkles coming out of her pores. All the time. You might think it was just my love talking but her family said the same thing. Renee was made of sunshine.

Renee lived by an overarching belief: there is kindness in the world and we need to do everything we can to find it where it resides and nurture it where it needs to grow. Renee was a Christian who knew that all religions teach the same essential truth: we are here to love each other, care for each other, and keep each other safe and whole.

Like people have done across place and time, we moved to make a better life for ourselves. We chose Minnesota to make our home. Our whole extended road trip here, we held hands in the car while our son drew all over the windows to pass the time and the miles.
What we found when we got here was a vibrant and welcoming community, we made friends and spread joy. And while any place we were together was home, there was a strong shared sense here in Minneapolis that we were looking out for each other. Here, I had finally found peace and safe harbor. That has been taken from me forever.

We were raising our son to believe that no matter where you come from or what you look like, all of us deserve compassion and kindness. Renee lived this belief every day. She is pure love. She is pure joy. She is pure sunshine.

On Wednesday, January 7th, we stopped to support our neighbors. We had whistles. They had guns.

Renee leaves behind three extraordinary children; the youngest is just six years old and already lost his father. I am now left to raise our son and to continue teaching him, as Renee believed, that there are people building a better world for him. That the people who did this had fear and anger in their hearts, and we need to show them a better way.

We thank you for the privacy you are granting our family as we grieve. We thank you for ensuring that Renee’s legacy is one of kindness and love. We honor her memory by living her values: rejecting hate and choosing compassion, turning away from fear and pursuing peace, refusing division and knowing we must come together to build a world where we all come home safe to the people we love."

First Amendment Dangers in 2026

Our free speech rights are under attack and in great danger next year. Here are three areas where we must be very concerned:

1. A bipartisan effort is underway to end Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. They claim they are doing it to "rein in Big Tech" but it will actually harm our free speech online. It would cause companies to take down content if they fear being sued because of it, and also allow people to sue over online content that they don't like. The first targets that this fascist government will go after will be the online organizing of protests against the government and any content that is anti-Trump. We can't let these bills be passed! In the House it is Bill 6746 and in the Senate it is Bill 3546. Call and write your members of Congress and tell them NO!

2. Filming police activity is protected by the First Amendment as long as you don't interfere with them (which would be obstruction of justice). ICE has been carrying around their own film crew in order to create the propaganda that you see being posted on their social media channels. They are big mad at anyone else filming them because they know there would be a huge negative public reaction when the public sees the excessive use of force they use and their brutal tactics to instill terror in the immigrant communities. Recently, the DOJ is claiming that filming police amounts to "domestic terrorism" and DHS Kristi Noem said that it "sounds like obstruction of justice." We must not let them take away our best means of holding them accountable. Keep recording them!

3. You may have heard about the State Department revoking the visas of five Europeans and tolling them they "were not welcome on American soil." Four of the five were already out of the country, but Imran Ahmed (CEO of the US-based Center for Countering Digital Hate) is a US permanent resident living in the country and his wife and kids are US citizens. Our government claims they were part of an effort to censor online content. But what did they do? They were each part of companies who encourage Big Tech to regulate the posting of illegal content, hate speech, and child sexual abuse material. You can see why the Trump administration is so offended by those efforts. Thankfully, Ahmed immediately sued them and Federal District Judge Vernon Broderick issued a temporary restraining order which prevents officials from arresting, detaining, or transferring him before he has his case heard. A conference is scheduled between the parties on December 29th.

The National Security Presidential Memo 7 and Attorney General Pam Bondi's DOJ enforcement memorandum makes it clear they are targeting all voices that are anti-Trump by designating us as "domestic terrorists" and members of Antifa. I think y'all can see how the dangers to free speech are rising and these events are intersecting each other. We must remain vigilant and continuously fight to protect our rights, especially because it's through the First Amendment that we are able to preserve all of our other rights. ✊

Our Allies View USA As Security Risk

The "Five Eyes" (Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America) is an alliance of intelligence agencies that was formed after World War II. Since Trump's first election, and especially after he was caught hoarding top secret documents at Mar-a-Lago, our allies have been slowly stepping back from sharing the most sensitive intelligence with the USA because they know it will go directly to Putin and likely be traded with Xi. Our own nuclear secrets were being shared with Saudi Arabia, which even a president doesn't have the sole ability to declassify those documents. Although the data sharing has been limited, our allies admit that with the NSA taps on all of the undersea cables and other communications systems that the USA is likely not missing out on much.

What really broke the relationship with all of our allies was Trump's new National Security Strategy document which attacks Europe, but has nothing really bad to say about Russia, China, or North Korea. That's caused everyone to reassess their relationships, and now even our allies have determined that the USA is a global security risk to the world.

The latest to express their concern is the Danish Defense Intelligence Service (DDIS) who noted that the USA “uses economic power, including threats of high tariffs, to enforce its will and no longer rules out the use of military force, even against allies.” They were particularly concerned about Trump's desire to take over Greenland, and they also see how Trump is being played by Putin in his eagerness to end the war in Ukraine in his obsession to win a peace prize. The USA is abandoning NATO, and is going to allow Putin to start a war with Europe. Why should they trust us?

Everyone is finally waking up to the fact that Trump is not just a grave threat to US democracy, but is a threat to the entire world. There's a link to the DDIS report in this article, but the document is written in Danish:
https://www.salon.com/2025/12/10/danish-spy-agency-calls-us-a-potential-risk-to-global-security/

Trump already sanctioned the chief prosecutor and several members of the International Criminal Court after they issued an arrest warrant for Israeli Crime Minister Netanyahu, and now he has issued threats of further sanctions unless they drop their cases against the USA and Israel. He is scared to death of being extradited to The Hague and put on trial once his term in office is over!

Neither the USA or Israel are signatories to The Rome Statute, but we do have allies that are members. To change the rules, it would take two-thirds of the countries to ratify it - and I don't see that happening. There needs to be a public trial where the facts of their war crimes and crimes against humanity can be recorded and preserved for posterity. Since our own countries won't hold our officials accountable, we'll keep sending evidence to the international tribunal where they can be tried in absentia if necessary.

Here's more reporting:
https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-threatens-new-icc-sanctions-unless-court-pledges-not-prosecute-trump-2025-12-10/

This morning the Supreme Court heard Trump v. This would expand Trump's executive powers and allow him to fire anyone he wants. We would no longer have truly independent federal agencies. 😢 You can find the recording and transcript of the oral argument on their website later this afternoon.

Tomorrow, they will hear NRSC v. FEC where they'll likely destroy a Nixon-era corruption law that prevents donors from funneling money to the political candidate through committees. This will be yet another one of our systems of checks and balances that will disappear. It sounds like legalizing political money laundering to me! 🤬

On Friday, SCOTUS halted a free speech case filed by immigration judges. Some of the lower courts have said that removing books from a library do not equate to banning the book itself. They have been directing people to dismiss charges in "politically sensitive" cases, and purged the immigration judges in order to put in people with less experience who will pursue deportations under the directives made by Trump. They make staffing changes in order to affect the outcome of legal cases.

We already had a shortage of immigration judges, and in order to give detainees due process in a timely manner during this immigration crackdown we need hundreds more of them! This strips the military of experienced legal advice (at a very bad time!) as well as puts inexperienced people on the bench to hear immigration cases.

Their tactic is clear: they don't want to give detainees due process! In the DOJ advertisements to recruit new judges they changed the job title from "immigration judge" to "deportation judge." 🤬

One case I'm closely watching is Tania Nemer v.
Guantanamo ICE Detainment Lawsuit

Federal District Court Judge Sparkle L. Sooknanan has denied the DHS motion to dismiss the case regarding the ICE use of the Gitmo detention center to hold tens of thousands of immigrants. The last count we got was they were holding around 500 detainees, and they are using Gitmo as a holding center while they wait for extradition to other countries.

Remember, Gitmo is the detention center where we keep alleged terrorists in what is basically a fenced dog kennel. They put them there in a US military prison within Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, on the coast of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba because it is a legal no man's land. If they brought them onto US soil, then our laws would apply, and they would actually have rights. By keeping them in Cuba, they faced military-style tribunals which were a total failure.

It was created in 2002 by George "Dubya" Bush who during the Iraq war gave out large cash bounties for anyone reporting a terrorist. The poor people in Iraq were turning in their own relatives (who were not terrorist) just in order to obtain the cash reward. Once the detainees were held in those terrible conditions, we radicalized them against the US, so the government was afraid to ever turn them loose again. Instead of stopping terrorists, the abuse at the facility actually became enemy propaganda fuel for creating thousands of new real terrorists. Gitmo has been a complete disaster, and Obama tried to close it, but Congress wouldn't let him. It still needs to be closed, and nobody should ever be detained there!

There will be a status hearing on the ICE case on Thursday, December 11th at 10AM. Here is the court docket:
https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/70456103/luna-gutierrez-v-noem/?order_by=desc

Courts Expand Presidential Powers

The US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit today in a 2-1 ruling found that the restrictions on the president’s firing power at the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) violate the separation of powers. Trump had fired two Democratic members of the NLRB and MSPB as part of Project 2025's plan to destroy independent federal agencies and expand the powers of the president.

In her dissent, US Circuit Judge Florence Pan said her colleagues’ decision “suggests that no agencies can be independent. Although my colleagues attempt to couch their analysis in narrow terms, they redefine the type of executive power that must be placed under the exclusive command of the President, and effectively grant him dominion over approximately thirty-three previously independent agencies.”

Protection of federal workers was given in a 90-year old precedent with Humphrey’s Executor v. United States. That ruling from 1935 will likely soon be overturned by our corrupt Supreme Court, who on Monday is hearing oral argument for Trump v. Slaughter regarding Trump's attempt to fire the head of the Federal Trade Commission.

Conservatives argue the "unitary executive" legal doctrine gives the president sole authority of the executive branch. That's not only dangerous and erases our independent system of checks and balances, but Congress has enacted tenure-protected terms for independent agency heads to keep those offices free from political interference. It helps keep our government stable.

You can listen to the oral argument live on Monday, and a recording and transcript will be available that afternoon. Here are the Questions Presented by the case:

DHS Still Trying To Investigate Facebook ICE Community Watch Group

I wrote last night about how DHS was coming after "antifa" and anyone they claim is an extremist. They recently subpoenaed Meta for information on a Facebook and Instagram community watch group that monitored the ICE activity in their area. A motion to quash the subpoena was made in federal court, but DHS isn't giving up. They don't want the content (which was made public) - they want the information they need to identify individuals, which Meta needs to be fighting to protect. It's so important that when a media company like Meta gets a subpoena, that they notify the user and give them a chance to fight back in court before they comply with it.

DHS in their response says: "John Doe runs Facebook and Instagram accounts that have tracked United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (“ICE”) agents and posted pictures and videos of agents’ faces, license plates, and weapons, among other things. The summonses do not request any information regarding the content of the accounts, which are public. However, Respondent is entitled to investigate information it received indicating that John Doe, through his social media accounts, is threatening ICE agents to impede the performance of their duties, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 115a1B. "

I'm watching this case closely, and hoping the court will quash the subpoena because these DHS threats against citizen reporting chill the freedom of speech guaranteed under the First Amendment.

Here's the full 16-page response that DHS filed:
https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.cand.458146/gov.uscourts.cand.458146.28.0.pdf

SignalGate IG Report Is Released

The Inspector General's investigation into government officials using Signal to transmit classified information is now public. It show lots of officials (Marco Rubio, Stephen Miller, Pete Hegseth, Scott Bessent, JD Vance, John Ratcliffe, Tulsi Gabbard) using a Signal group to chat about the military strikes against the Houthis. The only reason we found out about the chat was because they accidentally added a reporter to the group. Screenshots of the chat show them changing their usernames, and more importantly setting their messages to auto-delete. They were first set to auto-delete after one to four weeks, but in the screenshot we see Bessent changing his messages to auto-delete after only 8 hours.

All of their communications are supposed to be through secure government applications which preserve the records in accordance with the law. DHS says their employees using Signal take screenshots of their conversations and then upload them to their archive system. Nobody believes that! Their auto-delete settings confirm that they're using Signal to keep their conversations "off the books" so there's no telling what else they've been hiding.

Here's the 84-page IG Report on "SignalGate":
https://media.defense.gov/2025/Dec/04/2003834916/-1/-1/1/DODIG_2026_021.PDF

ICC President Stands Up Against Threats From USA And Russia

The International Criminal Court (ICC) is who the world turns to for justice when a nation won't prosecute it's own people for atrocities such as genocide, war crimes, crimes of aggression, and crimes against humanity. There are 125 members of the ICC, but China, Israel, Russia, and USA are not members because they don't want their crimes being investigated.

Russia has even issued arrest warrants for ICC staff in retaliation after they issued an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin for his war crimes in Ukraine. When they issued an arrest warrant for Israeli Crime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former defense minister Yoav Gallant for their war crimes and genocide in Gaza, Trump retaliated on behalf of his criminal friends. Trump issued executive orders which sanctioned nine ICC staff members, including six judges, and their Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan. Trump is afraid of his own crimes being investigated, so he is actively working to disrupt the ICC and take away their resources.

At today's ICC delegation meeting, Judge Tomoko Akane vowed “We never accept any kind of pressure." It's important that the international community supports the ICC, and cooperates in carrying out the arrest warrants that they issue.

Currently, the former president of the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte is on trial for the thousands of extra-judicial murders he committed during his "war on drugs." The Trump administration is carrying out those exact same crimes against humanity with his extra-judicial murders of alleged drug boats near Venezuela. It's imperative for us to make sure the ICC pursues a thorough investigation into Trump and his cronies so we can bring them to justice. Our own country doesn't seem capable of doing it, so we must rely on the ICC. It is why they exist.

Even though the USA is not a member of the ICC, it's important to have a open and fair trial where the facts are exposed to the world and preserved for posterity. In the case of former president George "Dubya" Bush, we couldn't get him arrested and extradited to The Hague, so he was tried and convicted in absentia for his war crimes. If someone with an ICC arrest warrant travels to a country that is a member, they can be immediately arrested and extradited.

I'm so glad the ICC president is standing strong, despite all of the threats and sanctions against them. Here's some reporting by AP on what was said today:
https://apnews.com/article/icc-court-trump-sanctions-russia-6f8a0c911bccaaa9551529fc03b3dcc0

70th Anniversary of Montgomery Bus Boycott And What Comes Next

On December 1st, 1955, Rosa Parks was ordered by a bus driver to give up her seat, and she was arrested after she refused. She wasn't the first, but Rosa helped kickstart the next chapter in the Civil Rights movement. I live in Montgomery, and I'm still learning about Rosa and her legacy.

I don't think most people realize that the Montgomery Bus Boycott wasn't just for a day, or a weekend. It was a long-term protest project that lasted 381 days. Black people sacrificed so much during that time in order to force a change. It worked!

Today, we're on a path to losing many of those hard-earned rights, and it will take collective action by all of us to force change again. Freedom and equality won't be gained through a single march or week-long boycott, it will again have to be another organized long-term form of protest.

What our country really needs is a prolonged national general strike, but in 1947 the Taft-Hartley Act amended the National Labor Relations Act to make political strikes, solidarity strikes, and secondary boycotts illegal. People are being squeezed so hard economically that they can't afford to lose their jobs over a general strike - which is exactly what was intended.

If we want to ever be able to support a general strike, we must first organize each community to rely mostly on local resources and establish mutual aid networks to support each other for the long term. With our K-shaped economy and the potential for an economic crash, this is something we need to by doing anyway.

Last night, I met with the cofounders of Blackout The System in a Zoom conference, and they are working on such a project. They aren't trying to re-invent the wheel, because there are local organizations across the country already doing the work. There needs to be a third space open where all of those groups can come together and get organized to work together. ✊

If you're interested in being a community leader to help make this happen, or just want to know how to personally divest from the massive corporations who are crushing us, please take a few minutes to browse through the Blackout The System website:
https://www.blackoutthesystem.com/

Collective Punishment of Immigrants And The National Guard Shooter

As soon as Trump learned the shooter of the two National Guard troops was an immigrant, the White Supremacist came out in him as he issued a deranged and hateful Thanksgiving rant about refugees and migrants. You can't blame and punish an entire group of people because of the actions of an individual, especially if they aren't the root cause of the problem.

As the facts come out, this was a failure of our government not in vetting migrants, but our lack of mental health services for everyone. The shooter worked with the CIA in Afghanistan, so he was thoroughly vetted by multiple federal agencies (USCIS, DHS, CIA, State Dept) on multiple occasions. This wasn't an immigration-related problem it was a mental health problem.

There is no telling the horrors the shooter witnessed while assisting the CIA as part of Zero Unit during a really fucked up war. He was married and had five young sons. After he arrived here, he started showing clear signs of severe depression and PTSD. In March of 2023, he suffered a mental breakdown and went downhill from there. The entire community noticed his troubled behavior, but nobody was able to get him the help he needed. The US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) even got involved, but was unable to help him as he switched between episodes of manic behavior and depression. He needed mental health services and medications. That in no way excuses what he did, but it certainly helps explain it.

Mental health resources are inaccessible for most people, and we have to fix that. Isolating people along racial lines or immigration status is not a solution to anything! Refugees from all countries deserve our help and compassion as they try to escape horrific conditions in their home countries. Many of those countries are unstable because our very own government (like the CIA) has intervened in an effort to choose their leaders.

The Supreme Court (through "Kavanaugh Stops") has ended the 4th Amendment protections to allow racial profiling. By Trump ending Temporary Protection Status (TPS) for Somalia and Haiti, that paints a target on the backs of all Black people who can be stopped and asked for their papers. As these White Supremacists clear out all of their targeted migrants, they will eventually use the surveillance and incarceration apparatus against all of their other enemies. Nobody is safe, because they'll target all minorities and voices of dissent. Trump and his racist cronies have got to go ASAP!

Here's more information on the shooter:
https://apnews.com/article/lakanwal-national-guard-shooting-suspect-afghan-5e5e9567d95a5d0ef806b714bb3ee3b7

If you jailbreak out of those guardrails, the AI will give you totally different results.

A recent study found something interesting: If you want to jailbreak out of the AI's guardrails, you just put your malicious prompt in the form of poetry. The study found "Poetic framing achieved an average jailbreak success rate of 62% for hand-crafted poems." 🤯

Here's the 16-page poetry research study by Icaro Lab called "Adversarial Poetry as a Universal Single-Turn Jailbreak Mechanism in Large Language Models":
https://arxiv.org/pdf/2511.15304

Hegseth Ordered Extra-Judicial Murders In Latin America

There's now enough evidence to start impeachment and prosecution for crimes against humanity. Under the law, you're not allowed to be the judge, jury, and executioner - but that's exactly what Trump and Hegseth have become by ordering our troops to strike alleged drug boats and to "leave no survivors." That explains why they demanded troops deployed in the region to sign the unusual Non-Disclosure Agreements, and why they lost their shit when six Democrats made a video reminding troops not to follow illegal orders. The orders being given to them are clearly illegal by both US and international law, and our troops can be personally held liable for carrying them out.

The most immediate way we have to stop this madness is through public pressure. I want to see ALL of them prosecuted in the USA and then have them extradited to The Hague! If we can't get them to The Hague, we'll have them all tried in absentia.

Here's more details about the illegal orders:
https://www.alternet.org/the-right-wing/trump-hegseth-2674353921/
